As infections surge across the United States, the Trump administration's pandemic response has been crippled by infighting, lethargy and the president's mistrust of his top scientists, our politics desk reported in a story based on interviews with 41 White House aides, public health leaders and other insiders.

Doctors on the White House coronavirus task force have been sidelined by Scott Atlas: He's a neuroradiologist with no background in infectious diseases, who has won Trump's favor while asserting that the pandemic is nearly over, that social distancing and masks don't work, and that vulnerable people should be sequestered in nursing homes while the coronavirus is allowed to spread naturally through the rest of the population.

OpEd: I agree that Trump's MAGAts should not wear masks or social distance. They are already dropping like flies in Trumpistan and if we can see  1 million COVID-19 deaths in Texas, Florida and Georgia the GOP will be crippled forever. 

Atlas's fringe theories and his influence on Trump have so concerned other White House scientists that Deborah Birx, the coronavirus task force coordinator, recently lobbied to have him removed from the group. But Trump has turned hostile to his own disease experts. “People are tired of listening to Fauci and these idiots,” he told his campaign staff Monday, after task force member Anthony S. Fauci criticized the president's failure to wear masks or avoid crowds.

All assholes are some form of fascist and IMO backed by science, fascism is more a product of nature not nurture.

OpEd: COVID-19 is killing mostly Trumpers who are spreading COVID mostly among themselves. MAGAts are dropping like flies in Trumpistan and since there is no way to reason with a MAGAt perhaps it would be best to not even try and allow their selfishness, ignorance and depravity to reduce their infestation by 1% - 2%. While those numbers may seem a bit optimistic, keep in mind, MAGAts are often obese smokers. The more MAGAts that are infected, the more of them who will see an early grave. Dead MAGAts will have a tough time voting or reproducing.
