The American criminal justice system is corrupt, there is no arguing that. It's corrupt for many reason but the two main reasons are greed and lack of accountability. Cops, prosecutors and judges are above the law. They have what's called qualified immunity which essentially means they are allowed to break the law while doing their jobs same as corporations. This is why so many people hate the criminal justice system.
