There seems to be an unwritten rule to be polite and "hold back" in modern journalism. It was not until Newt Gingrich called Mitt Romney a liar when he was pushed by an interviewer who asked him, "Are you saying he's a liar"? where Newt paused, thought for a moment and said yes.
The media likes to beat up on Trump but fails to say that the Trump mob is even more depraved than Trump. They spin the narrative that Trump has all these people brain-washed or hoodwinked when the truth is, the GOP base was depraved long before Trump. When Hillary said 50% of Trumpers were deplorable the only thing she got wrong was the percentage. She should have said 90% and that the remaining 10% were simply stupid. While it is hard to believe or admit that nearly half the US electorate is depraved, reality says it is but media puts all the blame of far right wing media. The truth is, Trumpers don't exists because of trash like Alex Jones and Fox News, the truth is, Alex Jones, Fox News and the other lie spreaders exist because they are providing the Trump trash with the lies and hate they need for their insatiable depravity and calling it conservatism.
It would be nice if journalists would take of the gloves and tell the humans to take out the trash.
