Trump's Surgeon general: Tells Fox News Masks Are Worthless.

From Fox News Masks Are Worthless

placeholder

U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams said on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday that “the data doesn't show” that wearing masks in public will help people during the coronavirus pandemic.

Adams, a member of the Trump administration's Coronavirus Task Force, made the comment one day after President Trump said he sees a scenario where all Americans could be expected to wear masks in public "for a short period of time after we get back into gear."

Trump acknowledged on Monday that he did not yet discuss the idea with his task force and said it is "certainly something we could discuss."

“It's important to understand that we are looking at the data every single day and we make the best recommendations to the American people we can based on what we know,” Adams said on Tuesday.

“What the World Health Organization [WHO] and the CDC [The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] have reaffirmed in the last few days is that they do not recommend the general public wear masks.”

He then explained the reasons why.

“On an individual level, there was a study in 2015 looking at medical students and medical students wearing surgical masks touch their face on average 23 times,” Adams explained. “We know a major way that you can get respiratory diseases like coronavirus is by touching a surface and then touching your face so wearing a mask improperly can actually increase your risk of getting disease.”

Adams went on to say that wearing a face mask “can also give you a false sense of security." He added that "you see many of these pictures with people out and about closer than six feet to each other, but still wearing a mask.”

He noted that there are also consequences to wearing masks.

“We still have PPE [Personal protective equipment] shortages across the country,” Adams noted. “The WHO mentioned this in their statement so we want to make sure we are reserving PPE for the people who most need it. That's how you are going to get the largest effect because if healthcare workers get sick, they can't take care of you when you get sick.”

Last month, Adams said Americans worried about the coronavirus outbreak shouldn’t buy face masks to protect themselves against it because the masks are ineffective for those without symptoms -- and the purchases deplete the supplies available for medical professionals.

“Seriously people- STOP BUYING MASKS!” Adams wrote on Twitter, addressing fears over the spread of the virus in the U.S.

“They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if healthcare providers can’t get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk!”

On Tuesday Adams stressed that people who are sick should wear a mask.

He added, “If you have a mask and it makes you feel better, then by all means wear it, but know that the more you touch your face the more you put yourself at risk and know that right now the data isn't there to say that there is a net benefit to the individual of wearing a mask.”

Adams also said that N95 respirator masks aren’t as effective for the general public as one might think, saying N95 masks “have to get fit-tested.”

“As a medical professional, I can't just go out and wear an N95. I have to make sure it's properly fitted and I have the right size in order for it to work properly,” he explained.

Trump's Lie Spreading Whore Kayleigh McEnany Receives Searing Reminder After Latest Reality-Defying Defense Of Trump

Treasonous liar Kayleigh McEnany stunned social media users with her latest reality-defying defense of President Donald Trump on Friday morning.

The White House press secretary claimed in a tweet that the president “has consistently put the health of all Americans first.” Her statement was in response to a Vanity Fair investigation published Thursday that laid bare the initial stages of the Trump administration’s catastrophic response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Critics on Twitter hit back at McEnany with a series of blunt reminders. Many pointed out the rising death toll from the public health crisis, as COVID-19 has killed nearly 200,000 people nationwide.

Some recalled how the president himself admitted in an early February interview with journalist Bob Woodward that he understood the dangers posed by COVID-19. In public, however, Trump chose to mislead the American public by downplaying the threat of the disease.

Meanwhile, others mentioned the fact that Trump earlier this week had inaccurately claimed that the U.S. death toll would be far lower if “blue” states were not taken into account, and how he has attempted to gut the Affordable Care Act without announcing a replacement.

Students and parents complained after a Dallas high school's class assignment placed the accused Kenosha shooter on a list of 'modern heroes'

  • Students and parents were upset when the suspected Kenosha shooter was on a list of "modern heroes" that they could choose to defend as part of a Dallas high school's class assignment, CNN reported.

  • Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, was arrested and charged with first-degree intentional homicide and a string of other felonies tied to the killing of two people at a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

  • Joseph Rosenbaum, who was shot and killed in Kenosha, was also on that list.

Students and parents complained after a Dallas high school's class assignment placed the suspected Kenosha shooter on a list of "modern heroes" that they could choose to defend, CNN reported.

Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, was arrested and charged with first-degree intentional homicide and a string of other felonies tied to the killing of two people at a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

He was suggested as a "hero for the modern age" along with others like Malcolm X, George Floyd, Mahatma Ghandi, and even Joseph Rosenbaum, a man who was shot and killed in Kenosha, NBC reported.

KTVT, which reviewed a photo of the assignment, reported that the names of Gandhi and Malcolm X were misspelled.

The school district has apologized for the assignment, which was given to seniors at W.T. White High School in the Dallas Independent School District (ISD).

"Racial equity is a top priority in Dallas ISD, and we remain committed to providing a robust teaching environment where all students can learn. It is important that we continue to be culturally sensitive to our diverse populations and provide a space of respect and value," Robyn Harris, director of news and information for Dallas ISD told Business Insider in a statement.

Harris said the assignment was removed from Google Classroom and students are not required to complete it. The teacher who assigned it has not been identified by the district.

According to district data, 81% of the students at the school are Hispanic and 10% are African American.

"The juxtaposition of George Floyd's name with Kyle's name was just astounding," Kristian Hernandez, whose younger brother attends W.T. White High School told KXAS about the assignment. "The value of Black lives are not up for debate, and that's what it felt like this was sort of getting at -- by way of the names that were included."

Hernandez said her brother was in "disbelief" that this was assigned.

Trump sued by parents of toddlers in doctored ‘racist baby’ video he posted to Twitter

Trump: "I'm a piece of shit and so are my supporters. Hail Satan!"

The parents of the toddlers featured in the doctored “racist baby” video have sued President Trump and the creator behind the meme.

Michael Cisneros, Alex Hanson, and Erica and Daniel McKenna filed a lawsuit on Thursday against Trump and Logan Cook, accused of creating the doctored video without their written consent.

Trump shared the manipulated video in June that involved a “racist baby” and condemnation of “fake news,” McClatchy News reported.

The video shows a Black toddler being chased by a white child, made to look like the footage was produced by CNN, with a banner that reads, “Terrified todler [sic] runs from racist baby.” The video text then says: “Racist baby probably a Trump voter.”

The video changes to show the original viral video of the two toddlers running to each other and hugging.

Twitter labeled the tweet as “manipulated media.” The platform says it labels tweetsthat “have been deceptively altered or fabricated.”

CNN first reported on the viral video in September 2019. It was posted to Facebook by one of the toddlers’ dads and features then-26-month-old Maxwell and 27-month-old Finnegan, “who have been friends for at least a year,” according to CNN.

“The reason that it’s getting attention [is] because it is with a little black boy and a little white boy...But if it can change someone’s mind, you know, or just change their view on things, then it’s totally worth it,” Cisneros told the publication.

The parents of the two boys accuse Cook of manipulating the video without their consent and using “a portion of it out of context, sending out an extremely distorted and false message,” according to the lawsuit.

They also accuse Trump of using Cook’s memes to seek donations for his reelection campaign and using their children’s likeness and pictures without their consent.

Trump hasn’t responded to the lawsuit as of Friday afternoon.

The video resurfaced during the protests over the death of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man who died in Minneapolis police custody on May 25 after a now-arrested police officer kneeled on his neck for more than 8 minutes.

“Seeing that Donald Trump had shared a manipulated version of my video on Twitter — I had a flood of emotions,” Cisneros wrote in a Newsweek article on July 2. “I was shocked and I was appalled. I couldn’t believe that the President of the United States would tweet out a video that is sharing a message of hate in the midst of the Black Lives Matter protests. Something that could cause more division and ignite his base.”

According to the lawsuit, the boys’ parents said the video was the “epitome of love and unity” showing their toddlers “hugging and enjoying the warmth and companionship” of friendship.

Assange lawyer says Trump offered deal to avoid extradition. Both Trump and Assange are Pedophiles

LONDON (AP) — A lawyer for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has told a London court that her client was indirectly offered a “win-win” deal by President Donald Trump that would see him avoid extradition to the U.S. if he revealed the source of a leak of documents from the Democratic Party before the 2016 election.

OpEd: Get the son of a bitch here and treat him like the terrorist that he is.

Assange, who didn't reveal the source of the leak of the Democratic National Committee emails, is fighting efforts by the U.S. to extradite him to face an array of charges related to his crimes work at WikiLeaks.

Jennifer Robinson, who has represented WikiLeaks for a decade, relayed to the court Friday via a written statement that her client had been made an offer at a meeting on Aug. 15, 2017, with former Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and Trump associate Charles Johnson.

In her statement that was read out at London's Criminal Court, Robinson said the pair “wanted us to believe they were acting on behalf of the president” and that they had stated that Trump was “aware of and had approved of them coming to meet” with Assange to discuss the proposal. She also said the pair said they would have an audience with the president to discuss the matter on their return to Washington.

Robinson said that Rohrabacher had said he had come to London to talk to Assange at his then-refuge at the Ecuadorian Embassy about “what might be necessary to get him out,” presenting him with a “win-win situation” that would allow him to leave the embassy and “get on with his life" without fear of being extradited to the U.S.

“The proposal put forward by Congressman Rohrabacher was that Assange identify the source for the 2016 election publications in return for some kind of pardon, assurance or agreement which would both benefit President Trump politically and prevent U.S. indictment and extradition," Robinson said. Any information on the source of the link would be of “interest, value and assistance” to Trump, the pair said, according to Robinson.

OpEd: It sounds like Rohrabacher is impeding an investigation and obstructing justice.

Robinson said that Rohrabacher explained at the meeting that he wanted to resolve the ongoing speculation about Russian involvement in the leaks. Russia has been widely blamed to have been behind the email theft. At the time of the meeting, special counsel Robert Mueller was investigating alleged ties between Russia and Trump's 2016 election campaign.

Assange didn't reveal the source of the leak of the Democratic National Committee emails, which were published by WikiLeaks, among others, in 2016 in the run-up to the election. They are considered to have damaged Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign against Trump.

Rohrabacher, who lost his seat in the 2018 midterm elections, has previously said he never spoke with Trump about Assange and wasn't directed by the president or anyone else connected with him to meet with Assange.

James Lewis, a lawyer acting on behalf of the U.S. government, said it wasn't contesting that “these things” were said.

“We obviously do not accept the truth of what was said by others,” he said.

U.S. prosecutors have indicted the 49-year-old Assange on 17 espionage charges, and one of computer misuse, over WikiLeaks’ publication of secret U.S. military documents a decade ago, largely around the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq a decade ago. The charges carry a maximum sentence of 175 years in prison.

OpEd: if Assange weasels out of this the CIA should give him a Putin cocktail and then blame Putin.

Assange’s lawyers say the prosecution is politically motivated and that he won’t receive a fair trial in the United States. They also argue that Assange was acting as a journalist entitled to First Amendment protection.

OpEd: The First Amendment doesn't protect espionage by foreign adversaries.

Assange has been in a British prison since his ejection from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London in April 2019. He had been granted asylum by Ecuador in 2012 over fears he would face possible extradition to the U.S. related to his work with WikiLeaks.

The extradition hearing is due to last until early October.

There is really nothing the peasants can do about social media censorship but bitch. The billionaire class controls the FCC and the government as a whole. The Golden rule states, "the guys with the gold make the rules but are not subject to those rules". Social media tryrants rely on the term "keeping communities safe" as a way to justify their censorship.

Dear Twitter Punks,

What's the real reason? Cite a specific instance that will prove your accusations that you have yet to state.

I need your name and the names of all your supervisors. As you know, social media censorship and it's take over by special interest groups and enemies of democracy is in part as to why we are in the mess we are in. You will need to be questioned.

Twitter is culpable in the deaths of 100,000 Americans because Twitter allowed Trump's lies regarding the seriousness of COVID-19. In fact, Trump broke so many rules that he should have been banned but that didn't happen did it Jack? Clearly, greed means more to Twitter than truth. Jackoff Jack has enough wealth to last 100 lifetimes and enough weasels like you to massage his insatiable ego for all eternity.

Whoever you are, suspending free speech and sending BS regarding  purposefully vague rules makes you culpable as well. I used to try to appeal to the moral and ethics of tyrants only to discover they had no ethics or morals but in case I'm wrong, quit fucking with users and allow me to attempt to even the truth vs lies score. If "We the People were to ever gain power, the oppressors of humanity and their weasels who were "just following orders" will may the price. Maybe not in my lifetime but they will pay. If you have any sense of decency and if you have the know how, you will monkey wrench Twitter. But even if you are merely a feckless little brown nosing bastard, you can become a whistleblower and get rich instead of being the pathetic Jack blower that you are now.

In case you haven't noticed, people are fed up with the oppression. Police stations are being burned and angry protesters are going into rich neighborhoods. It won't be long before they will be focusing their rage on the corporate ruling class. It's coming weasel in the next 5 years.
